Your PlayStation Plus games for January 2019

We hope you had a wonderful holiday filled with great memories of time spent with loved ones. A new year is right around the corner and a new batch of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers in January 2019. As usual, we are just going to get right to the games you can expect next week.

PlayStation 4 Games

What an appropriate game for the winter season! Steep is an open world winter sports title that lets you indulge in epic mountain activities. At first glance you might think this is just a snowboarding game but there are also events featuring skiing, paragliding and even wingsuits.

Portal Knights

When you are doing playing in the snow you can come in and spend some time with this charming little Action-RPG. The game offers four-player online co-op so you won’t have to explore the world alone.

PlayStation 3

Zone of the Enders HD Collection

Legendary game developer Hideo Kojima gave us more than just the Metal Gear titles, you know. Zone of the Enders was originally published on the PlayStation 2 and received an HD makeover for the PS3 and Xbox 360. You get the original game as well as Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. That ought to give you plenty of hack-and-slash action while it’s so cold outside.

Long before the days of Guitar Hero, Rock Band or Dance Central, Harmonix gave us Amplitude on the PS2 and this game was eventually remastered for HD consoles. Instead of using a controller shaped like a musical instrument you use a normal gamepad to control a ship as it cruises along the music tracks and fires in time with the beat.

PlayStation Vita Games

Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion (Cross-Buy with PS4)

Another Action-RPG joins the Plus lineup in January. This one offers hand drawn graphics and forces you to make some truly difficult choices.

Super Mutant Alien Assault

This game offers an ever changing experience thanks to its random levels. You play as a security robot who must clear a series of single frame levels but the objectives, enemies and power-ups.
