Sega has recently announced a release date on twitter for Yakuza 6: Song of Life. This comedic action-adventure game will be available March 20th, 2018 on the PS4 for the US and Europe. You can get just the game which comes with an art book, or you can get the “After Hours Premium Edition”. In the “After Hours” edition you get bar glasses, the art book, ice stones, and coasters.
If you haven’t played the games, the Yakuza series is hilarious but can be serious at times. If the story is getting too intense to advance or you just need a little extra cash, there are plenty of side quests and mini-games to play. The side quests are funny and the mini-games are extremely addicting so it doesn’t bore you when they’re necessary to advance. In Yakuza 6 there will be new mini-games as well as some familiar ones. One of the new mini games includes going to the gym. You have to do different exercises successfully to have a great workout. If you follow the diet throughout the game that you trainer has given you, he praises you on your good work. Who cares about getting in shape though when you could go do karaoke and watch some ridiculously funny glamour shots?
For everyone who has played Yakuza 0, there is some great news I have to share. They have gotten rid of the long cut-scenes before the street fights! Now Kiryu will just go right into the brawl. No more running away from fights just to avoid that long pause.
