To kick off Microsoft’s E3 2016 press conference, they have given us the price for the new, slimmer model of the Xbox One.
Xbox One S has been priced at $299 for the base model with a 500GB hard drive. An option for a console with a 1TB hard drive will be $349 and there will be a limited edition 2TB system for $399. A vertical stand will be sold separately for $19.99. That is an amazing deal! For those of you who missed it yesterday, the Xbox One S was leaked ahead of schedule and we were shown the new look for the Xbox and all the new features that will be coming with it. The new version is 40% smaller than the current model, 4K Ultra HD video, High Dynamic Range, a streamlined controller with grip that is wireless and blue tooth.
Those of you who wish to use Kinect with the Xbox One S can get a free Kinect adapter.
The new console includes the new Xbox One controller with improved wireless range and Bluetooth. The controller will also be available separately for $59.99.
Xbox One originally came out in 2013 with it being priced at $599. It came with a 500GB hard drive. Microsoft has certainly come a long way with their Xbox. The Xbox One S will be available in early August.
