Weekly Recap
Welcome back for another Weekly Recap, where we cover the highlights from this past week in gaming. This week we’ve got everything from Destiny, PS+ and XBL Gold deals, game announcements and more. Around this time of year there usually isn’t a whole lot going on. Later this coming week, on Dec 6th we do have The Game Awards happening. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, it will be live streamed on almost all streaming platforms. Let’s take a look at what happened recently though, just a quick ICYMI.
A Path Revealed
Ever since the fiasco of Destiny 2 launch (little content), Bungie has been actively trying to repair their mistake. They have made it clear that transparency, clear communication and community feedback would be a priority. That message is now more apparent than ever, which is a great thing to see and to keep fans informed.
Destiny 2 has a slew of content coming, both free and paid. The amount of content coming from both sides has been something sorely needed for a long time. Even if you did not buy the annual pass, you get access to lots of events, exotic quest lines, updated and more. This pace needs to be kept up, all the way until the launch of Destiny 3.

I Heard A Wisper
It has been quite awhile since gamers have enjoyed a new Dragon Age game. Rumor has it that we may just get an announcement of a new one this December. BioWare has been actively working on the game Anthem, an “Iron Man” like 4 player co-op open-world game. To hear that a new Dragon Age may be announced is exciting. I guess we only have to wait a few weeks to find out if this rumor is true or not.

… .. . … . .. .. . Decrypting
Obsidian Studios just recently became a Microsoft Studios exclusive developer. In the time before that, they have been working on another game in partnership with indie studio Private Division (Kerbal Space Program). Obsidian has released teaser imgaes and a countdown timer, leading to The Game Awards. As you can see in the article below, the art style is very 1950’s space race. We only have a few days to wait, so tune into The Game Awards for the big announcement.

Sorry Mr. Krypton
For a long while now, there has been a small rumor about Rocksteady creating a Superman game. Rocksteady is known for their Batman Arkham series, depicting the dark knight in a dark and immersive Gotham City. After the completion of that series, fans thought Superman would end up being the next to get the treatment. Unfortunately, this is not the case.

The Silver Screen
The Gears of War movie has been in a state of shock for years now. The movie has gone through trouble time and time again. Recently though, it seems things may be picking up. Rod Ferguson (The Coalition Studio Head) has been making multiple trips down to Universal Studios, to consult on the gears of war movie, and now a new writer has joined the team. Will we actually see this movie anytime soon? Probably not. We can hope that after all this time, it will be worth it.
