The developer behind the Yokai Watch series is currently at World Hobby Fair 2019 in Nagoya, Japan and they dropped a new trailer for the upcoming Yokai Watch 4. Check it out for yourself but remember that all of the speech and text are in Japanese:
Longtime fans of the series will immediately recognize Nathan Adams (Amano Keita in Japan); he will once again be a playable character in Yokai Watch 4. The trailer also gave us a glimpse of the in-game world and battle system.
Yokai Watch 4 will be released for the Nintendo Switch some time this Spring in Japan but we won’t see a European or North American release for a long time. Yokai Watch 3 gets a Western release next month on the 3DS and that game came out in Japan way back in 2016. Don’t expect Yokai Watch 4 to be released in any Western markets until 2021 at the earliest.
Thanks, Gematsu.
