Capcom has announced a release date for the Blue Bomber’s return. Mega Man 11 will be released for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4 and PC on October 2nd. This game is a celebration of Mega Man’s 30th anniversary though they are a little late – the original Mega Man was released for the NES in 1987.
Mega Man 11 does not have the retro-inspired visuals of Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10. This time around we get some beautiful hand-drawn artwork but the game still has that precision 2D platforming the series is known for. Your robotic canine pal, Rush, has returned to assist you throughout the levels of each evil robot master.
A new Gear system has been added to add some spice to the gameplay. The Speed Gear allows Mega Man to slow down time while the Power Gear enables the Mega Buster cannon to be charged to unprecedented power levels. The Double Gear allows Mega Man to use both of these abilities when he is nearly out of health.
If you cannot get enough of the Blue Bomber, don’t forget that the Mega Man X Legacy Collection is coming to the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4 and PC in July.
