Recently, Fatshark uploaded a teaser trailer for Warhammer: Vermintide 2.
For the most part, the video just shows the game’s name. However, there are also ominous sounds that are not quite like the noises Skaven made in the first title. Furthermore, the Skaven symbol in the background breaks to form the “II” in the game’s logo. While the developer has not shared any information on the antagonists, it seems like there is a good chance we will see something other than rat men this time around.
In addition to the trailer, Fatshark also has a Steam page up for this sequel. At the very least, we know the game will be on PC. According to the description, the game will still take place in the Warhammer fantasy universe. It also promises a return of intense melee combat and a first person perspective. Long range weaponry will be returning as well. There is also a line that mentions that your failure will bring about the end of the Empire, so it seems players will once again fight against the enemies of humanity rather than as them.
According to the teaser, more information on Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be available on October 17.
