War Thunder will come to Xbox One according to a recent post from Gaijin Entertainment. No release date has been provided as of this writing but it will probably be some time next year as work on the Xbox One version has only begun recently. The Xbox One X version will run in 4K resolution though it is unclear if it will be native 4K or use checkerboard rendering.
“Our players have asked us many times about the possibility of transferring War Thunder to the Xbox One, and we started preparing to do so some time ago. Recently, we came to an agreement with Microsoft regarding the possibility of running the game on their console, and today, we are happy to share this great news with you,” wrote Anton Yudentsiv, CEO of Gaijin Entertainment.
War Thunder is a vehicular combat MMO released in December of last year. The game is currently available on PS4, PC, OS X, Linux and Shield Android TV.
