An assortment of movies have been priced at $4.99 each which is not far from what a rental would normally cost. A lot of the selections are older films but maybe there is a classic that will catch your eye. As a bonus, films from Sony Pictures, Disney, 20th Century Fox, Universal or Warner Brothers are part of Movies Anywhere and can be watched on Vudu, iTunes, Google Play or Amazon Instant Video.
The HDX format favored by Vudu shows movies in 1080p resolution and a cinematic 24 frames per second. It’s not quite up to the quality level of Blu-ray discs but as far as digital movies are concerned, HDX is quite impressive.
