TICGN Spotlight: Minit (for PC)

Hello all. Minit is a game that first caught my attention at PAX South at the beginning of the year. Although there were tons of fantastic games being demo’d there, I kept finding myself coming back to the Devolver section for just one more go at the game.

Minit is an old school, stripped down looking game wherein you have exactly one minute to explore as far as you can. However, the map doesn’t change and if I remember correctly, key features remain unlocked once you have found them, carrying over to your next minute of play. So, remembering what you did on each run is helpful if not essential for future runs. Combat and the game itself reminded me a lot of the original Zelda games. Minit is slated for release sometime around October 17 on Steam. Anyhow, let’s look at some of the press kit information on this game and see if it doesn’t pique your interest like it did mine.

Minit is a collaboration between Kitty Calis, Jan Willem Nijman, Jukio Kallio & Dominik Johann.

About

Minit is a peculiar little adventure played sixty seconds at a time. Journey outside the comfort of your home to help unusual folk, uncover countless secrets, and overcome dangerous foes, all in hopes of lifting a rather unfortunate curse that ends each day after just one minute.
