The latest Nintendo Switch bundle includes $35 in eShop credit

The Nintendo Switch is a very popular console but it seems that sales are beginning to dip. Nintendo is trying to sweeten the pot for gamers who are still sitting on the fence by offering a Switch bundle with $35 USD in eShop credit. According to Nintendo you can use the credit towards any Switch game in the eShop. This is a limited time bundle which Nintendo claims will only be available while supplies last.

The bundle has the standard MSRP of $299.99. This is not the absolute best deal we have ever seen for the Nintendo Switch. After all, just three months ago Nintendo packed in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with Switch consoles for Black Friday. Even so, the $35 eShop credit is better than just getting a system with nothing else included.

Nintendo initially expected to sell 20 million Switch systems in fiscal 2019 but the company has since lowered its expectations and is now expecting to sell 17 million consoles during the same period. The Switch was actually the best selling console in North America last year and it is actually outpacing the PS4 and Xbox One when you align each system’s launches. It just seems that Nintendo had extraordinarily high expectations for the system and this eShop credit is an attempt to keep sales momentum going.
