Fans have been wondering when Microsoft would announce the first wave of backwards compatible games ever since the feature was announced back in June, well it looks like we finally have our answer. Phil Spencer announced on Twitter that the list would be revealed on November 9th.

It will be interesting to see how many of the more requested games will be in this first wave of backwards compatible games. While it seems like the Call of Duty games are out of the running because of Activision, there is some hope that games like Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption will be among the first batch. It will also be interesting to see if there will be any games that came on two or more discs on the 360, Microsoft has previously claimed that this has become an issue which will disappoint fans of games such as Mass Effect and LA Noire.
