The Division’s weather will be a factor in the game.

It’s been awhile since we heard about The Division. Via a tweet, Ubisoft teased us with a short clip of some weather effects saying “experience a full range of weather and time of day”. Ubisoft went into more detail in a blog post on The Division website. In the post, Senior Game Designer Fredrik Thylander said “when in a full storm, visibility is hindered, both for NPC’s and the agent. Our worst storm conditions that can hit will affect aim assist and detection ranges for both players and NPC’s. It was also announced in the blog post that the Xbox one beta is still on track for release sometime in December.

We haven’t heard any official news from Ubisoft about The Division since Gamescom. This is some very welcoming and exciting news that weather will play a prominent role in the game that may send gamers into shelter when a storm hits. The game has been pushed back multiple times and gamers are eager to get their hands on the game. The Ubisoft Massive studio will release the full game on March 8.
