During Microsoft’s E3 conference, Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada took the stage to show off the upcoming Tekken 7. A new trailer was shown off which show’s Heihachi fighting Street Fighter‘s Akuma, the trailer was a mix between CGI and actual gameplay. The gameplay segment ends with Akuma doing his iconic Raging Demon move on Heihachi and winning the match.
This, obviously, puts an end to all of the rumors that Tekken 7 would be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. The persistence of those rumors may have been why Harada had to clearly show that the game was coming to Xbox One.
Harada also announced that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is now free on Xbox for a limited time. The game can be played on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One through backwards compatibility. You can download it here.
