Switch Play: Pokémon Direct and the Beach

Another month has passed and so Switch Play is back at it. This month’s episode takes us to the beach. Cocoa Beach that is! There’s nothing more lovely than getting some sun, smelling the fresh ocean air, and getting a few matches of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in. For this trip, I really wanted to show you guys why it is I got there all without actually telling you. I wanted the blue waters, the pier, and weather to speak for itself. As you enjoy some scenery in this month’s Switch Play, I hope you learn something new with today’s topic, the latest Pokémon Direct.

Pokémon! The franchise us fans hold near and dear. The franchise that we swear up and down owes us everything. We Pokémon fans may be a little too much if you know what I mean. Easily, you could get caught up in the mess that is “why didn’t they show Pokémon Stars!?” but we won’t be doing that today. Instead, I discuss what they actually have shown and touch up a little on that desire for a more traditional game for the Nintendo Switch. Before you check out this month’s episode, keep in mind that Game Freak and the Pokémon Company are branching out. This means iOS, Android, 3DS, and Nintendo Switch are subject to titles that fit the platform. Games will come in all genres and styles so that their vision for grabbing a broader audience will come to fruition.

After watching Switch Play, make sure you drop a comment. I’d like to hear what even the most die-hard Pokémon fans think about the Direct and the road ahead for Pokémon. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some Pokémon Go to attend to. Follow me @T00muchF00D on Twitter and thanks for coming to TiCGN for your video game news and opinions.
