During the final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate direct earlier today, Nintendo revealed some details for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass.

There will be five character packs in the coming months. Each character pack will cost $5.99 USD. The season pass with all five packs will cost $24.99 USD, saving players $5.99 USD. All five character packs will be released by February 2020.
A sixth character will be available for free for a limited time: Piranha Plant. No, really. This infamous plant is going to be a free fighter for players who purchase the game between now January 31st, 2019.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on December 7th, 2018.
