XSEED have revealed the release date for their upcoming Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns DLC. Additionally, they announced that the game would get a free update on the same day. A 3DS theme will also be available for purchase as well. For those who are not aware, Story of Seasons is the current name of the Bokujō Monogatari series, formerly known as “Harvest Moon” here in the West.

The “New Neighbors Pack” DLC brings new events, outfits, dialogue, and story content. It also adds the option to pursue Woofio or Stephanie the contest MC as marriage candidates. Originally, this content released in Japan in four free installments. However, the full batch of DLC will cost $7.99 in North America. The amount of content in this DLC rivals that of full games and the base game launched at a cheaper price in North America than in Japan. Furthermore, these games sell twice as well in Japan. As such, XSEED could not justify the cost of localizing it (upwards of six figures) without charging for it.
Unlike the DLC, update 1.1 will be freely available to all players. This update provides various fixes and gameplay improvements along with a pair of outfits from Rune Factory 4.
Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns is a farming and social life simulator from Marvelous. The new content will be available in North America on November 9, 2017.
