At EA Play 2018, Vince Zampella of Respawn Entertainment revealed that their Star Wars game was called Jedi: Fallen Order and would be releasing in 2019. He also confirmed it would be set shortly after Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. That informal announcement aside, we haven’t really had any information about what form this game would take. It looks like our questions will be answered in the coming months, as it has just been announced that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be revealed on April 13th, 2019 at the Star Wars Celebration.
The Star Wars Twitter account shared the news:
Did you hear? #StarWarsJediFallenOrder will be at #StarWarsCelebration Chicago! See the game for the first time on April 13th.
Plus, hear from @MattLanter about his work on #StarWarsBattlefrontII. https://t.co/vE0oPnYDSZ

With Battlefield V not meeting expectations, Respawn Entertainment and their parent company, Electronic Arts (EA), both have a lot to look forward to with this game. Releasing in Holiday 2019 makes it coincide with Star Wars Episode XI hitting theaters.
There’s additional pressure though, since the reported cancellation of EA’s open-world Star Wars game, which was itself a rework of the cancelled game from the now-defunct Visceral Entertainment.
With the rest of Star Wars firing off on all cylinders, from movies to TV shows, maybe Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be the great Star Wars game many fans have been waiting for.
