Stadia exclusive GYLT may come to your favorite consoles after all

It turns out that GYLT – previously announced as an exclusive for Google Stadia – may come to other platforms after all. You would be forgiven for thinking the game would remain fully exclusive to Google’s upcoming game streaming service. After all, the word “exclusive” was branded all over the game’s announcement trailer. That would not be an ideal situation though. The only way to play GYLT this year would be to hand over $129 USD over to Google for a Stadia Founder’s Edition. If you do not plunk down the cash then you would have to wait until next year when Stadia officially launches.

With that said, it seems that developer Tequila Works has an eye to release GYLT on other platforms. “”OK we haven’t confirmed that it’s an exclusive yet,” said Raúl Rubio Munárriz, the Creative Director (and one of the founders) of the studio in a discussion with Robert Purchese of Eurogamer.

When pressed for a response as to GYLT’s exclusivity, Munárriz responded cryptically with, “We haven’t answered that yet and I cannot answer yet.”

“Of course, we will try to make Gylt accessible for everyone. I guess it’s not a design question, it’s more of a business question. Today is not the time to answer that question but rest assured, everyone will be able to play the game,” he finally added.

You could argue that he means almost anyone with a phone or tablet can play the game via streaming but it also sounds a lot like it will eventually make its way to PlayStation, Xbox, PC and possibly even the Nintendo Switch.

What do you think? Would you like to play GYLT on a platform other than Stadia?
