If you follow any of the official PlayStation accounts on Twitter or Facebook then you may have noticed some unusual activity. It seems that notorious hacker group OurMine briefly took control of Sony’s PlayStation accounts on those social media platforms. Check out this screenshot from Twitter user ERMOR:

OurMine claims that PlayStation Network databases have been leaked:
It is important to note that there is no evidence as of this writing that Sony Entertainment Network has been breached. A quick check of the network’s status shows that all services are running and even the Down Detector website indicates only 3 complaints about the network in the last 20 minutes.
It appears that the damage has been limited to Sony’s Twitter and Facebook accounts. Sony has removed the tweets from OurMine though there are some Facebook posts from the hacker group that are still up as of now.
OurMine is known to test online security for popular platforms such as HBO as the screenshot from NeoGAF user Karspankey shows.
TICGN will bring you additional news on this matter as it develops.
