One day, Sena was being chased by bullies and it just so happened that Yoichi Himura (the quarterback of the Devil Deiman Bats) noticed Sena running from them. It wasn’t just the fact that he was running from the bullies, it was how he was running. The swift movements throughout the crowd, the amazing cuts and demonstration of speed that he was displaying blew Yoichi away. Needless to say Sena was recruited to the team and was given the name Eyeshield 21.

Baby Steps
Eiichiro Marou is an honor roll student who became famous throughout school for his meticulous note taking in class. Though Eiichiro was a hard working student he always looked for ways to exercise. One evening Eiichiro decided to try a few sports; unfortunately the sports he tried he wasn’t any good at. Then Natsu – a girl in the same grade as him – recommended that he try tennis. Eiichiro falls in love with tennis and quickly becomes a prominent member of the youth tennis club STC (Southern Tennis Club). Ippo Makunouchi never had the time to make friends, because he was always busy helping his mother run the family fishing business. Kuroko no Basket
