Sega has unveiled its plans to enter the mobile phone games market. The Forever collection will see the Japanese video-game behemoth release games from its back-catalogue onto both IOS and Android devices starting tomorrow, June 22nd. The collection will cover games from a variety of the company’s iconic devices including the Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, Game Gear, Genesis, and Master System.
While each game will be free to download, they will all include in-game advertisements. However, consumers can pay an optional fee of $1.99 to have the ads removed. All games will have the support of modern mobile game features such as online leaderboards , cloud saving, offline mode, and controller support.
“As the Sega Forever collection expands through months and years, it will include both official emulations and ported games that pan all Sega console eras, each adapted specifically for mobile devices while remaining faithful to the original games.”

The Forever collection launches worldwide tomorrow with five of the company’s classic games being available for download. The iconic developer notes that after the initial launch further games will be added to the collection every two weeks.
