The award winning Rise of the Tomb Raider will be released for PC tomorrow, and with it will come a string of improvements. To highlight the added features a video showcasing them was uploaded to Youtube.
This PC release will bring anisotropic filtering (a technique used in graphics to enhance textures and reduce blur during extreme viewing angles), tessellation (a technique that breaks polygons into finer pieces which can be used to depict new information increasing realism in the game) and thanks to a partnership with Nvidia a new feature called HBAO+ (a technique used to add richer, more detailed shadows).
Individuals who preorder the Digital Deluxe Edition (from BuyROTTR.com) will receive day one access to the Endurance Mode and Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch. There is also set to be a steady stream of future content including outfits, weapons and the third major DLC, Cold Darkness Awakened.
Rise of the Tomb Raider released for Xbox One in November last year and went on to receive over 60 award nominations and won 27 awards. A PS4 release is slated for a release during the holiday period of this year.
