Ever since Microsoft announced that all of their holiday 2015 exclusives have sold atleast 1 million copies, there was speculation that these numbers just included copies sold to stores. This was particularly aimed at Rise of the Tomb Raider, which has been a source of conflict in the gaming community ever since it was announced, with many speculating that it didn’t come close to 1 million copies due to the game’s low opening week.
However the head of marketing at Microsoft Studios, Aaron Greenberg, has gone on to confirm that the sales number were sell-through (games that were sold to customers) and that Tomb Raider has sold well over a million copies. Not bad for a game that so many people have been blindly hating on.
@PNF4LYFE It is sell-through and well over 1M units, big December!
