Today is May the 4th and Star Wars news is popping up everywhere. EA wanted to join the party and today they announced thatĀ TitanfallĀ developer Respawn Entertainment will be making a Star Wars game.
EA says that the game will be a third person action-adventure game. This is surprising as Respawn is known for being first person shooter developers, it will be nice to see them leave their comfort zone. Respawn joins DICE (Star Wars: Battlefront), Capital Games (Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes), Motive Studios, Visceral and Bioware as a part of EA’s effort to release Star Wars games.
Respawn’s Star Wars game will be made by a new team led by Stig Asmussen (God of War). This makes sense as the rest of Respawn is currently working onĀ Titanfall 2.Ā However, I would not expect to see Respawn’s Star Wars game anytime soon as it seems like Visceral’s in the next one in line. We could possibly see their Star Wars game next month at E3.
