Recore was originally scheduled to release during the Spring of 2016 but the date has now been changed. A Microsoft spokesperson contacted Engaget.com and clarified that Recore will be launching “latter half of 2016”. This news comes after Platinum Games announced Monday that it will be delaying the launch of the Xbox One exclusive Scalebound till 2017. Microsoft hasn’t shown any gameplay of Recore and with the previous launch window coming up in a few months, this news isn’t very surprising.
Recore is being devolved by Comcept and Armature Studios. The head of development at Comcept studios is Keiji Inafune, who was responsible for character design of the first 3 Mega Man games by Capcom. Armature Studios was formed by developers who worked on games such as Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. The game director for Recore, Mark Pacini, also directed the Metroid Prime Series.
Recore no doubt has very talented developers working on the game and Xbox fans are eager to see gameplay of the action-adventure game. Look for Recore to launch in the latter half of 2016.
