Ready at Dawn Is Expanding Into the Pacific Northwest, Establishes New Satellite Studio

Ready at Dawn has worked on multiple games in the past, such as God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta. More recently, they developed the PlayStation 4 exclusive third-person shooter The Order 1886 and a VR title called Lone Echo. Today, we learned that Ready at Dawn is expanding into the Pacific Northwest and establishing a new satellite studio.

This additional studio will likely be supporting the main team in Irvine, California with whatever projects they are currently in the middle of developing.

Ru Weerasuriya, CEO and Co-Founder of Ready at Dawn, spoke on the expansion, saying that “Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to diversify our skillset and expertise from console, PC and handheld development into Virtual Reality. Now, as the studio keeps growing, we hope to tap into a deep and growing talent pool of developers in the Oregon area and strengthen our already world-class development team to bolster our current and future projects.”

With so many studios shutting down or laying off staff over the last several months (such as Telltale or Capcom Vancouver), it’s great to see a studio expanding like this. Hopefully we’ll learn more about what they’re all working on in the near future.
