Sony announced that PSN will undergo scheduled maintenance for a two hour period on April 18, 2016. The maintenance will affect all PlayStation hardware.
PSN maintenance is set to begin on 9:30 PM PST and will end on 11:30 PM PST, so keep in mind for any time zone differences depending on where you live.
Sony stated, “Anyone who already has an account can still sign in to their PlayStation Network profile, play games, and use most applications while this maintenance is carried out. You will not be able to access Account Management, PlayStation Video, and PlayStation Store during this maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
During the maintenance, users will not be able to alter PSN account or make transactions on the PlayStation Store.
The downtime will no doubt better serve the PSN community and its security.
