Press Play Invites Gamers To Join Their New Open Development Process

An intriguing concept has been announced by Press Play, the studio who created Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Kalimba. Three new video game concepts have been revealed today and the studio is asking you to vote on which one appeals to you the most and participate in the development process. As the studio explains in the video below, this is not just an early access program but rather getting players involved in co-creating Press Play’s next game. As one developer puts it, “I have no idea what to expect… at all.”

The three video game concepts under consideration are:

A first person co-op exploration game set in a world of dark fantasy, Project Dwarka puts the players in the roles of four dwarven treasure hunters as they make their way through procedurally generated dungeons, battle hordes of enemies and use their unique abilities to delve deeper on their path to glory.

Project Karoo is a multiplayer game in which players scavenge for blocks to make any kind of vehicle they can imagine. From race cars to walking mechs to airships or whatever you can conceive. You’ll pilot your vehicles in a world filled with humans and animals, discover secrets or just enjoy competing with others and watching your vehicles fly apart.

The most brutal of the three, Project Knoxville is a multiplayer game set in a futuristic game show that can have deadly consequences for the participants. Players depend on each other to survive but greed may drive some players to betray their team mates. Parental discretion advised for this trailer.

Which of these games will you vote for? Let us know in the comments section below.
