Last night Larry Hryb, otherwise known as Major Nelson, posted a video on the Xbox Facebook page. He talked to several people who were in line for Xbox FanFest 2016 and even chatted with several members of the Xbox team such as Aaron Greenberg, Graeme Boyd and Phil Spencer. When Hryb asked Phil Spencer how he felt about the upcoming Xbox press conference, Spencer responded by saying that he felt this would be one of the most important years in Xbox history.
“I think there are certain moments in XBox history that us as fans… of Xbox think of as important years and I think this will be one of those years.”
Spencer likened the moment to Zero Hour for the Xbox 360 launch which to date has been Microsoft’s most successful console.
Microsoft is expected to show more footage for Sea of Thieves, ScaleBound and Crackdown 3. It is also believed that at least one new IP will be announced as well as a revival of at least one classic IP. There may also be a new system feature shown.
