The Pandora internet radio app has features that are exclusive to Xbox One according to the release notes found on the product page.
The description states that you will be able to, “set your own soundtrack with uninterrupted personalized background music on the Xbox while you game.” There is also the ability to adjust the balance between in-game sound effects and background music.
Users are reporting that Pandora appears in the Universal Windows app store but they have not yet been able to install it on their Xbox One consoles. It is likely that the Pandora app will be available soon in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
Background music has been a long requested feature on Xbox One. The feature allows players to replace in-game soundtracks with their own preferred music with the help of apps such as Microsoft Groove, MyTube or Pandora. There is also an app known as Simple Background Music Player that allows users to play music files from a USB flash drive as background music.
