For fans who may have been wondering if Overlord will be getting a season 2, then you will be pleased to know that it is coming in 2018.
The official twitter account for Animate store announced the news. The second season is scheduled to air in January 2018. Like the first season, the second season will be done by Studio Madhouse.

Overlord is about Momonga, a powerful wizard and master of the dark guild Ainz Ooal Gown, decides to spend his last few moments in the popular VR MMO game, but as the servers begin to shut down and the final minute passes he gets trapped in the game. Now Momonga has gathered the NPC’s of their guild and begins to conquer the world.
