For a while now fans have been wondering when will they see Luffy and the straw hats on Netflix. I mean Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist and others have made their way. Why not the show One Piece? Well your wishes may have been granted some-what.
One Piece is indeed heading to Netflix, unfortunately exclusively to Japan. Now I know just like many other fans that this comes as a disappointment to those who may be in the states, but look at it from this perspective. True it will only be in Japan as we’ve seen with other titles such as Kakegurui and some of the live action films. They eventually they find their way to other territories.
The news comes from the official website of One Piece, the site really just says that Neflix has the license to play the show.  The anime is scheduled to make its Netflix debut in Japan in the near future. Luckily for most fans of the series they are probably already subscribed to either Crunchyroll, Hulu, VRV or Funimation. However, if you’re not subscribed to any of these and still would like One Piece added on Netflix maybe a bit sooner, please voice your opinions here at the Netflix forum.
