A new Xbox One system update has been released, but will not see the addition of new features.
The update went live yesterday and focuses on behind-the-scenes bug fixes. The update however does not include a fix for the recent video stutter issue that has been experienced by some Xbox users. The video issue was acknowledged by Xbox engineering lead Mike Ybarra on Twitter and a fix is said to be in the works.
The video stutter issue will most likely be fixed with a minor system update similar to yesterday’s before February’s major Xbox One update.
Since the New Xbox One Experience update in November no new features have been added in order to ensure stability of the console and Xbox Live throughout the Holidays. The next major Xbox One update will be pushed out in February. There are no details on what the February update will include as of yet.
Everything the new system update fixes is all behind-the-scenes but if you have not yet received the Xbox one system update you can update your console by heading into your system settings and looking for the console update under “Console info & updates”.
