PlayStation 5 Leak

New Footage Shows PS5 Performance Versus PS4 Pro

In the lead up to E3, there are always bound to be leaks ahead of the conferences. With Sony not having a PlayStation an E3 conference, however, has not protected them from people getting a sneak peek of what we can expect in the upcoming next generation. Tech reporter Takashi Mochizuki released video footage which looks to be from an internal conference in which Sony is showing off some of the performance enhancements that will come with PS5.

As you can see within the video, the load times between the PS4 Pro and the next generation console are staggeringly different. This cements what Mark Cerny spoke about in a previous report in which he talked about the next generation PlayStation console using an SSD. While this presentation is not in English, Takashi translated some of the most important bits of information, with this particular statement coming out front and center.

In the past few days, we have seen Microsoft and Sony strike a deal for the use of Azure cloud technology. While I have no doubt that PlayStation will continue to deliver the hardware and games the fans love. PlayStation has now doubled down on their focus which was introduced back in the early days of this generation. PlayStation will have a larger focus on cloud-based gaming, especially in an on the go scenario, which they previously dabbled in with remote play with the PS Vita.

Things are certainly heating up for the next generation, it will be interesting to see what other information we will see in the upcoming months.
