Nintendo dropped something interesting for fans who have a large amount of Gold points. For those unaware, Gold points are earned from purchasing games digitally through the eShop. Starting in March players will be able to use these Gold coins when they purchase certain digital content.
A #MyNintendo update in early March will let you redeem Gold Points for select digital games and DLC for #NintendoSwitch!https://t.co/L6lqeDuTUa pic.twitter.com/76PUd7nPOi

This is how the system works. Thank you to Nintendo.com for covering this so well.
• Buy a qualifying digital game for Nintendo Switch, Wii U™, or Nintendo 3DS™ family systems or a physical game for the Nintendo Switch system.
• Earn Gold Points worth 5% of the amount you pay, not including any points or discounts used*.
• You can then redeem those points on your next eligible digital purchase (including games and DLC) for the Nintendo Switch system from Nintendo eShop or Nintendo.com.
Not shared with the this update is which games or DLC this new deal will cover. I’m hoping it will cover Breath of the Wild DLC. Spending an extra $20 is not something I want to do right now. Once Nintendo releases more info on this new part of the My Nintendo experience we will share it with you. Until then enjoy your Nintendo Switch or 3DS.
