My Hero Academia is Coming to Toonami

Funimation has announced that the My Hero Academia anime is heading to Toonami. The news comes from the official twitter page.

The series will premier on May 5th starting at 11:30 EST. The full schedule has also been released. This includes shows like Black Clover, Space Dandy, Hunter X Hunter, and FLCL.

  • 10:30pm – Dragon Ball Super
  • 11:00pm – Dragon Ball Z Kai
  • 11:30pm – My Hero Academia
  • 12:00am – FLCL
  • 12:30am – JoJo
  • 1:00am – Hunter X Hunter
  • 1:30am – Black Clover
  • 2:00am – Naruto: Shippuden
  • 2:30am – Space Dandy
  • 3:00am – Cowboy Bebop
  • 3:30am – Ghost in the Shell 2nd GIG

Toonami will air all three season of My Hero Academia, If you haven’t heard of My Hero Academia before here is a brief synopsis: Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.

Don’t forget that My Hero Academia is also getting a video game adaption. Currently the release window is only set at 2018, no real concrete date has been set for the game.
