Earlier this week, Microsoft’s Phil Spencer revealed on Twitter that new backwards compatible titles will be announced monthly. While the initial list of 100 backwards compatible Xbox 360 titles is respectful, Microsoft intends to increase its back catalog.

December’s Games with Gold will add CastleStorm, Sacred 3, and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising to Xbox One’s backwards compatible list.
Reports earlier this year indicated that all future Xbox 360 titles in the Games with Gold program will be backwards compatible. Each month, two new Xbox 360 games will be available for download, which adds more value for Xbox Live Gold members.
Microsoft is confident it can attract Xbox 360 owners to jump ship to the current generation this holiday season, by offering affordable bundles, focusing on exclusive games, and regularly updating features and services.
