The teaser trailer for the upcoming comic book movie Morbius has arrived. This movie features Jared Leto as the title character. The trailer doesn’t give us much in terms of a story, it does show us a couple of different connections to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Most people will probably criticize this movie since Jared Leto’s last comic book movie character wasn’t well received. Take a fresh look at this trailer without allowing the past to interfere.
As you can see from the teaser trailer, Jared Leto’s character is dying and takes a less legal approach in finding a cure for his rare disease. You may have noticed the Spider-Man poster splashed with the word ” Murder” on it, that ties into the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Also, you may have noticed that Micheal Keaton’s character from Spider-Man: Homecoming makes an appearance at the end. This effectively ties this movie into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, even if it’s at a distance.
Morbius will be coming to theaters on July 31st, 2020, Venom 2 will be released shortly after that on October 2nd. So enjoy the onslaught of Sony/Marvel movies this year.
