Sony’s PlayStation E3 press conference brought forth a huge surprise that may upset some Nintendo fans, the classic Monster Hunter franchise has jumped ship towards new platforms. With 4K and high resolution graphics becoming a bigger trend in gaming, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC owners will have a new franchise to explore with Monster Hunter.

The newly revealed Monster Hunter World offers a larger look at the beast hunting franchise. Not only are visuals reworked to better show off the technical capabilities of the Sony and Microsoft consoles, the game mechanics look to have drastically improved as well. Capcom had teased gamers that the franchise would attempt to make a huge splash in the west and now it appears that claim was true. Check out the full reveal trailer below.
