Microsoft Targets February 2019 Release For Crackdown 3

The most recent announcement that Microsoft’s upcoming action shooter, Crackdown 3, would be delayed caused extreme reactions among the gaming community. Reddit, Twitter and YouTube were bustling as users rushed to declare what this delay could mean for the future of the Xbox One console. It seems that may have been an overreaction as the delay does not appear to be that long. Microsoft is reportedly looking to release Crackdown 3 in February of 2019 according to Jez Corden over at Windows Central.

Corden notes that he was contacted by a spokesperson from Microsoft who provided a statement about the delay. “Our fans’ response to the signature antics and explosive gameplay of “Crackdown 3” has been incredible. To ensure we deliver the experience they deserve, “Crackdown 3″ will be launching in Feb 2019,” the statement reads.

More Crackdown 3 details will be shared at Microsoft’s upcoming E3 conference on Sunday.

As always, we are sending a team to E3 and they will share their experiences with Crackdown 3 and every other game they see at the event.

Personally, I think this delay could be a good thing considering the massive amount of games dropping in the second half of this year – most notably Red Dead Redemption 2. Microsoft has expressed that they have big plans for the Crackdown franchise and wish to include it among their tentpole game series.
