Capcom has announced that the Mega Man X Legacy Collection will be released as two separate titles on July 24th for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam with a price of about $20 USD.
Prefer physical media? There will be a $40 USD retail edition that combines both collections for consoles. The PS4 and Xbox One versions each contain two discs. The Switch version is a bit more complicated as it includes the first Mega Man X Legacy Collection on a cartridge; You’ll get a download code for the second collection.
As you may have guessed, the first four Mega Man X games are bundled into the first collection while the second set contains Mega Man X 5-8. Both collections offer a number of features such as improved 3D models for Mega Man X7 and X8, widescreen modes and optional graphics filters. Capcom has also crammed in The Day of Σ, a video about Sigma, a full library of game soundtracks and digital artwork collectibles and even a new mode which lets players challenge Frost Walrus and Chill Penguin simultaneously.
Capcom has also announced that the older Mega Man Legacy Collections will be released for the Nintendo Switch.
