During Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference one game in particular took almost everyone by surprise – Phantasy Star Online 2. The highly popular MMORPG from Japan which has long been exclusively available overseas is finally making its way to the West. The game originally released way back in 2012 and has been a hit ever since. The game will be free-to-play and will have all of the content that is currently available overseas. Phantasy Star Online 2 will release for the Xbox One and Windows 10 PC in 2020 and will also support crossplay between the two platforms. Check out the trailer for yourself below:
If you’re unfamiliar with the Phantasy Star Online series, the game will take players on a research expedition called Arks which originally belongs to a fleet of interplanetary cruising ships. Players will then set out to research a variety of planets. The game will have auto-generated maps, sudden events, and Multiplayer Party Areas where up to 12 players can explore together simultaneously. Will you be picking up the game when it releases?
