Ever since Kingdom Hearts III officially finished development, fans were extremely hyped for this long-anticipated game. Now, Kingdom Hearts III has been out for only a week and it is already doing very well. Today, Square Enix announced that Kingdom Hearts III has crossed five million copies shipped. This number includes physical shipments and digital copies sold.

With five million copies shipped in its first week, Kingdom Hearts III is now the fastest-selling game in the franchise. It’ll be interesting to see what the long-term numbers look like but for now, I’d say Square Enix is likely extremely happy with the performance of this long-awaited game.
