Jade Raymond Is Leaving EA

Jade Raymond, founder of EA’s Motive Studios, is leaving Electronic Arts (EA).  According to a statement given to Venture Beat, Jade Raymond is leaving EA and her role will be filled by Samantha Ryan, who runs other EA studios such as BioWare and Maxis.

John Resenburg, Head of Communications at EA, said that “With this change, Jade Raymond has decided to leave Electronic Arts. In her time with us, Jade helped to build great teams, and our projects underway at Motive and other studios continue unchanged. We’re appreciative of all of her efforts, and we wish Jade all the best as she moves on to her next adventure.”

Jade has a long history in the gaming industry. She worked at Ubisoft Montreal on games like Assassin’s Creed II and Watch Dogs, before helping to found Ubisoft Toronto and working as Executive Producer on Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist. In 2015, she then joined EA and helped to found Motive Studios, as well as assisting on Visceral Games’ Star Wars title before their closure.
