According to Heroic Hollywood, Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons has been cast as Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming Justice League films. The character of Commissioner Gordon featured prominently in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and again (all be it much younger) in the acclaimed TV show Gotham. J.K. Simmons is no stranger to comicbook movie roles having played Jonah Jameson in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy.
The Justice League movies (part 1 and 2) will release in 2017 and 2018 helmed by Zack Snyder. They’ll star Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ezra Miller (Flash), Ray Fisher (Cyborg) and Jason Momoa (Aquaman).
