Another rumour fresh from the guys over at HH has made the rounds today regarding Marvel’s rebooted Spider-Man, who will be appearing in next year’s Captain America: Civil War. According to them, Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man will have been swinging around New York for about a year prior to the events of Civil War. Included with this piece of information is also that Spider-Man, like Batman in Batman v.s Superman: Dawn of Justice, will be considered an urban legend by most people and that by the time 2017’s standalone Spidey film happens Parker will have been active as a crime-fighter for around 2 years.
It’s not much but it does give us a better idea of the character when you pair this with previous info. We know for example that Peter will be 15-16 years old in the movies and will be in high school as this was confirmed earlier by Feige in an interview with Collider.
Due to an agreement between Sony and Marvel, Spider-Man will now be appearing as a member of the Avengers without any money ever having changed hands. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal will contribute as producers on the upcoming 2017 Spider-Man film. This movie will still be released by Sony Pictures.
Last month, actor Tom Holland was reportedly seen taking photos with fans on the set of Captain America: Civil War. As of yet we have not seen any footage of the Marvel Spider-Man nor was he included in the trailer at D23. Marvel are certainly keeping a tight lid on any photos or information regarding the character.
