For you Halo Wars and RTS fans, boy, do we have some interesting news. It seems that the Halo Wars 2 Beta dates have been revealed.
According to Mondo Xbox, they have accessed Halo Wars 2 Beta in the store – though not accessible via direct search – and it seems that beta will run through June 13 to June 20 and will be 13 GB in size. The dates fall right in line with Microsoft’s E3 press conference. Game Informer also found the suppose page, by stating that “we reproduced the steps, starting with Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb’s profile. There, he’s following Halo Wars 2 Open Beta.”
So far, Microsoft has not responded to the leak.
Creative Assembly released Halo Wars back in 2009 for the Xbox 360. It abandoned the classic first person view in favor of the top down view of the battlefield making it an RTS (real time strategy). It is taken place 21 years before the events of Halo: Combat Evolved. The game received a decent amount of ratings. Metacritic gave it a 82%, IGN gave it a 8.4/10 and Common Sense Media gave it a 4/5. Halo Wars 2 was originally announced back at Gamescom 2015 and is set to release in 2016.
