Microsoft officially broke the silence on the week one sales of Halo 5: Guardians. According to Microsoft, the latest in the massive Halo franchise raked in more than $400 Million in it’s first week. This puts the entire Halo franchise at a whopping $5 Billion. As a comparison, Destiny managed to rake in $500 Million during it’s first week on 4 platforms.
Fans have managed to rake in 21 Million hours of gameplay in one week, including 12 Million hours in the campaign mode alone. Multiplayer raked in 9 Million hours on Arena and the new Warzone map. 7 Million matches have been played across all modes. The new Req system in Halo 5 proves popular too with over 45 Million Req Packs acquired by players over the week.

Last week’s Halo 5: Guardians Live Stream Launch event broke the Guinness World Record for the most watched Video Game Broadcast with a total of 330000 unique streams and a total of 5.5 Million unique views. This resulted in a spike in digital sales making Halo 5: Guardians the best selling title ever on the Xbox Store.
