Along with this news, IFI recently shared some more information on a new mechanic that revolves around blood. Throughout the game, the player will have to make decisions on how to handle the bloodlust of the Furies. These choices affect their level of corruption which plays a part in how the story unfolds.
Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms is an otome visual novel from Idea Factory and Design Factory. It is the second half of a two-part remake of the original Hakuoki tale which details Chizuru Yukimura’s time spent with the warriors of the Shinsengumi. The story blends historical fiction with a bit of supernatural fantasy as well as romance. In addition to better graphics, this remake includes additional scenes, characters, and even routes.
The visual novel will release on Vita in North America on March 13, 2018. It will then be available in Europe a few days later on March 16th. The game is also heading to PC, though the publisher has yet to announce a release date more specific than “Spring 2018.”
